St. Cloud is in search of an official song and they're asking the public for their own original submissions.

As part of Granite City Days you can write your own original song, submit it online and according to the event website the 'top entry will become St. Cloud's official song'.

I should also mention that prizes will also be awarded (we're not aware of what they are yet). I'm not sure if St. Cloud plans to publish all of the submissions online and let the public vote or how the top song will be selected.

If you're interested in penning your thoughts on paper in pursuit of being the author of St. Cloud's first official song, you must submit your original works by Friday, June 4.

You can also perform your song for the public if you'd like there's an option online to upload a YouTube video link or an MP3.

However, if you're not much of a singer like myself, you can just submit the lyrics online at StCloudGraniteCityDays.com.

To enter, you'll need to provide your first and last name, birthdate, phone number, email and street address along with your song lyric submission.

Perhaps you're in need of a little inspiration to get you started. Here are some things that are totally St. Cloud!
