St. Cloud School District Apologizes After School Lunch Photo Goes Viral

The St. Cloud Area School District apologized on their Facebook page for serving up a 'new menu item today at lunch' after a photo of it went viral locally.

The district's official Facebook page said, "Oops! We goofed. Tried a new menu item today at lunch and we hear it was not a winner! Going forward, we will gather input from our students on new menu options."

The meal consisted of carrots, a hot dog bun with melted cheese and tomato sauce. The student who posted the photo captioned it by saying, "I paid for this to eat at lunch today. I thank God everyday that my family has the money where I get to go home and eat actual food. There are kids at this school who this is ALL THEY GET TO EAT."
