St. Cloud Joann Fabrics Giving Out Free Kits to Make Face Masks
Joann Fabrics is doing what it can to help medical personnel across the country, but they can't do it without the help of local crafters.
Joann Fabrics locations across America (including the location in St. Cloud) are creating and distributing kits to home seamstresses for creating face masks for medical workers. Once the masks are made, the crafters can bring them back to their store and Joann Fabrics will donate them to medical facilities in need.
We noticed groups of people in the crafting and sewing communities making protective masks, gowns and other essential items and donating them to hospitals and health care facilities and we wanted to help them do even more. As a company, we were inspired by our customers who are pitching in during this unprecedented crisis, and we wanted to do what we can to contribute.
Joann Fabrics will provide and donate 100% of the supplies needed for these projects.
If you are interested in picking up kits to do this yourself, I called Joann Fabrics in St. Cloud on Monday evening and they are currently out of elastic but expect a shipment later this week. If you want to call and reserve your kits now you are welcome to at (320) 253-1109. They encourage everyone to call in and reserve their kits in order to have them ready for you in a timely manner.
