Shawn Mendes just stole our hearts.

Canadian singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes performed at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Friday. During a Q&A before the show, he asked what local word, term or phrase he could use that his Minnesotan audience would really appreciate.

In an Instagram video shared by Steve LaTart, Shawn shares during his set what word he was told to use.

"Today, I was so confused by what I was told. I said, 'What do I say in the Twin Cities?' And they were like, you gotta say...'uffda.'"

Despite his confusion at the very Minnesotan term, the crowd went absolutely wild.
