The picture on the box made it look like building this swing set should be pretty simple. It took SEVEN HOURS.

See all the lumber up there, that was easy to separate and sort out... the hardware, was a NIGHTMARE!!!!!

NIGHTMARE!!

The instruction said the build would take between six and eight hours with two people... we laughed at that sentence... then we laughed about laughing at that sentence because it took seven hours to build. The hardware was the most time consuming and some of the parts were actually junk, already stripped or didn't have threads to begin with.

Luckily, my neighbor Nate has a "man's" garage, filled with tools, screws, bolts, projects... classic car projects. He's got everything, so we improvised and got it done.

Now Shay and her friend, Nate's son, have a swing set to destroy for the next several years.

I do hate the colors though... now all this VIKINGS fan is going to think about are the Packers.
