Selena Gomez Praises Taylor Swift’s New Album ‘Lover': ‘You’re Unreal’
Selena Gomez is still Taylor Swift’s biggest cheerleader.
On Friday (September 6), the “Taki Taki” songbird showed her support for her bestie’s new album, Lover, with a sweet shout-out on Instagram. Gomez took to her Instagram Stories last night to share what records she’s been loving lately, from Julia Michaels’ Inner Monologue, Pt. 2 and Polo & Pan’s 2017 throwback track “Canopée” to the title track of Swift’s seventh studio album.
“You’re just ..unreal dude @taylorswift,” Gomez captioned a screenshot of her playing “Lover” as she drew a pink heart over the post. Expressing her gratitude, the 29-year-old superstar then reposted the “Wolves” musician’s post to her own Instagram Stories, writing, “I LOVE YOU SELENA,” with a cute gif of a kitten blowing a kiss.
Since dropping her project last month, Swift's latest LP has received tons of praise from fans and musicians alike, including Demi Lovato, who hasn't always stood by the "ME!" vocalist's side in the past. Yet, despite not seeing eye-to-eye with neither Swift nor her drama with her manager Scooter Braun — who similarly attempted to make amends — Lovato still put her opinions to the side to congratulate her fellow singer.
"Life's too short for women to not support other women..especially when women release great music. Great job @taylorswift 👏🏼🙌🏼 💕," the “Games” artist wrote of Lover on her Instagram Stories earlier this week, to which Swift kindly replied, “This is so awesome & put the biggest smile on my face. Thank you @ddlovato.”
