The St. Cloud State University Men's Hockey team is ranked number one in a new national poll released by USCHO on Monday, February 19. They advanced two spots from third place in the last poll. Their record on the season is 20-6-4.

Trailing behind the Huskies are second place Cornell and third place Denver. Minnesota has four colleges placing in the top ten! Way to go Minnesota...we really are the "State of Hockey."

The Huskies are home at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center this weekend for a series against Denver. It's their last weekend at home for the regular season. They'll be away for their last game in North Dakota.

In order for the Huskies to go to the Frozen Four, they'll need to make it to the conference playoffs, battle it our in the regional tournament--THEN, the Frozen Four. Tickets for the Frozen Face-off at Xcel Energy Center go on-sale mid-March.

SCSU defense and team captain, Jimmy Schuldt was nominated for a Hobey Baker Award and is campaigning for votes. You can check out his player profile and vote for him to win the award online.
