Sartell Police Give Subtle Shout Out To Sartell H.S. Football Team
The Sartell Police Department usually post incident updates on their official Facebook page. It's a way for citizens of the city and surrounding communities to get a sneak peek into the types of calls and incidents that are happening in the town. Usually most calls are pretty mild but sometimes they are crazy...which is why I always look forward to reading the blotter. I love the drama, what can I say.
The department posted their typical update on Thursday. If you just skim through the post, you may not notice the adorable nod to the Sartell High School football team. It was really refreshing.
The blurb reads, "Sartell Patrol and Reserve Officers attended the football game to ensure the safety of attendees and cheer on our Sartell Sabres. There were no issues. Congrats on the WIN!"
The Sartell Sabres beat St. Cloud Tech and St. John's Prep last Friday with a final score of 35 to 15 at home in a conference game.
It was really cool to see something positive in the blotter and to know that the police officers are fans of their local high school football team too.
By the way, the next Sartell football game is in Brainerd this Thursday at 7 p.m. for another conference game.
