Popular Olympic Commercial Was Filmed Partly In Minnesota
A popular Olympic commercial that has been airing during the games has some Minnesota ties. The Honda Power of Dreams ad, featuring U.S. Speedskater Jordan Stolz, was filmed in Minnesota. Here's the background on the ad.
From The Oval To The Olympics
Honda has been a big supporter of the U.S. Olympic team, and with that partnership comes a lot of love during the commercial breaks. A popular ad series, called the Power of Dreams by Honda, has been playing on TV over the last 4 weeks. Part of that ad series features U.S. Olympian Speedskater Jordan Stolz skating on an outdoor rink.
That rink is none other than the John Rose Oval in Roseville, Minnesota.
The parks and recreation department, which oversees the skating oval, shared the information on social media this week.
While it wasn't front and center in the ad, knowing the background behind the background is a fun Minnesota tidbit for the winter games, which have featured plenty of people from the land of 10,000 lakes.
Other Minnesota Moments From The Olympic Games...So Far
Since we are on the topic of Minnesota moments at the games, Team USA's men's hockey team game against Sweden had plenty of Minnesota moments as both teams had a combined 7 players from the Minnesota Wild on their rosters for the 2-1 win for Team USA.
Wild players on Team USA were: Quinn Hughes, Brock Faber, and Matt Boldy.

Wild players on Team Sweden were: Joel Eriksson Ek, Marcus Johansson, Filip Gustavsson, and Jesper Wallsted.
