Richmond Man Hurt in Boating Accident

RICHMOND - A Richmond man was hurt in a boating accident. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before noon Wednesday on Cedar Island Lake in Wakefield Township.

Twenty-three-year-old Aaron Teal was driving a boat that struck a point on an island, causing the boat to go airbborne.

Rescue crews brought him to shore and he was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Teal was working for In Tune Marine at the time. The boat he was driving was a 21 1/2 foot Triton Fishunter with a 300 horsepower Evinrude motor.

Teal was wearing a life jacket.
