TOM THE TRUCKER CAT FULLY RECOVERED

Remember Tom the Trucker Cat? The cat that jumped out of a truck driver's truck in St. Cloud and was found 40 days later about 9 miles from where he went on his adventure?

This story is about Scott Gross from KYMA TV, in Yuma, Arizona who wrote about Tom the Trucker Cat.

SCOTT GROSS GETS AN EMMY

Scott's story went so crazy that he recently received an Emmy award for his story!  Scott Gross received the 2024 Rocky Mountain Southwest Emmy Award. His story was picked up and people in Minnesota.

Scott also did a follow-up story with the owners of Tom to see how Tom is doing today, where they recap Tom's story about his adventure, and how they are so thankful for the people in Minnesota who were on the lookout for their beloved cat.  You can see how Tom is doing now, and hear about Tom's story by watching the video below.

THANKFUL OWNERS

The owners of Tom the Cat say that Tom is fully recovered from his adventure now. Tom has gained most of his weight back, but they also think that he's been a bit traumatized by the whole thing.

The couple says that Tom has no desire to be out of the truck now. He loves looking out the windows as they travel through different states. They are still taking things carefully so they don't lose their precious cat again.  They keep a tracker on Tom, as well as have a harness and leash in the truck, and keep locks on the windows.

Thanks to Scott for writing that original story and helping one family have a happy ending.

These people from the St. Cloud area have competed at the Olympic Games
