Remember This Returning Deployment Surprise At Apollo High School?

In honor of Veterans Day yesterday, St. Cloud Area School District 742 shared an emotional returning deployment video on their Facebook page.

The video is actually from 2016. Allie Powell had returned to St. Cloud after serving six months in Afghanistan. Powell was in the United States Military on deployment. She wanted to surprise her sister, Maddie, a then student at Apollo High School, with an unexpected visit.

On May 13, 2016, Allie dropped by Apollo for lunch with her sister! Maddie's reaction is priceless and heartwarming. There were many tears of joy that were shed. You can watch the reunion of sisters below!

Thank you to all of the men and women who have served and continue to serve. This video is a great reminder to appreciate those who are sacrificing here at home.
