The recall comes from Lakeside Refrigerated Services in New Jersey. The recall includes a few different brands under Lakeside Refrigerated Services, including:

  • Marketside Butcher
  • Thomas Farms

If you have purchased ground beef from either of the brands listed above, do not consume the food until you check and make sure it does not fall under the recall. You can check out the full list of products impacted by the recall here.

If you do have any of the products impacted by the recall, the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service advises you to throw them away or return them to the point of purchase.

Please note that all impacted products will have the establishment number "EST. 46841" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

It is also important to note that this is a Class I recall, which means there is "a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death."
