Random Roadtrip: Can You Name This Week’s Destination? (10.14.20)
Think you can name a road trip destination without looking at a map?
Every Wednesday during the Drive Home with Adam, tune in to play Random Road Trip. The premise is simple -- Adam's planned out a road trip, but he's not telling you where you're going. Instead, he'll give you a series of directions starting from St. Cloud, which you have to follow along with in order to name the final destination. You're welcome to follow along on a map if you need to, but if you can do it in your head -- more power to you!
Here are this week's directions, as given out on-air:
For today’s random road trip, you gather up the kids and say, “Hey, guys! Want to go someplace strange?” They’re like, “Yes, yes! Where are we going?!” And you’re like, “I’m not telling you, but if you get in the car now we’ll be there in less than three hours!” So everybody piles into the minivan or whatever you’re driving, and – starting in St. Cloud -- you get on I-94 headed east. You pass Clearwater and Monticello and Rogers. When you reach the cities, get on 494 and follow it down and around Minneapolis until you hit I-35. Get on that, headed south. You pass by Apple Valley and Lakeville, Northfield and Faribault. At Owatanna, get off and follow highway 218 southeast for 40 more minutes until you reach your destination. Where are you and what unusual facility are you there to see?
