The Big Lake Police Department stopped a vehicle this week that turned up $13,000 in cash, methamphetamine and cocaine.

The BLPD shared two photos of the confiscated property to their Facebook page on Tuesday. According to their social media page, Officer Tyler Hecht stopped a vehicle Monday at 2 a.m. for a headlight that was out. That stop led to an even bigger investigation when the officer found a large amount of cash and drugs.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody.

Chief Joel Scharf wrote, "These cases are a group effort with investigator Rich Berg writing search warrants, Investigator Nic Prigge doing phone forensics and Officer Kalla Sinclair and Chaffee searching, and canine Bruno lending his nose. #ProudChief".

Since being published, the post has had hundreds of likes, comments and shares.

Sherry Nagle wrote, "Great job Tyler!"

Jason Smith commented, "this is the reason I moved to Big Lake, the policing [is] on point."

Mark Lees praised the department writing, "nice job guys!"
