Meet Ellie and Fin. Two adorable, adoptable fur-babies with bubbly personalities waiting for you at the Tri-County Humane Society.

Ellie is a 1 year old spayed cat who came to the shelter because her owner developed an allergy to cats. She is described as being a sweet and loving cat with a great personality. She will seek out attention and likes being talked to. In her previous home, Ellie got along well with the other cat and they shared a scratching post. Although she hasn’t had the opportunity to be around children, Ellie’s gentle personality should make her fast friends with any child who treats her respectfully. Make sure you have plenty of toy mice around, for Ellie is quiet playful as well.

Fin is a 2 year old Maltese and Long Haired Chihuahua mix. He was transferred to our shelter from another humane society. Fin is an adorable little dog who loves to give kisses. Even though his coat is long, he appears to be a low shedder. Fin would appreciate a home with older children who would know not to pull on his fur. He has done well with other dogs and cats in the past. Fin loves to play, go for car rides and snuggle in a comfy pet bed. He is housetrained, neutered and micro-chipped. Fin is a little fearful when he’s inside his kennel, so if you stop by to meet him, ask a volunteer to take him out to the play yard for you. He’ll be a totally different dog. Come introduce yourself to Fin and you will see why staff is so smitten by this little dog who looks like he’s having a bad hair day.
