Say it isn't so! One of my favorite cookies might be the next victim of the 2020 shortages.

Pepperidge Farm makes the milano cookie and according to Bloomberg, it might be in super short supply over the holidays.

Initially, I thought perhaps this might be a publicity stunt to force everyone to the store and stock up on cookies. After diving a little deeper, I realized why it makes sense they'd actually be experiencing some type of shortage.

Bloomberg reports that Pepperidge Farm has had a tough time finding labor to help make the cookies due to COVID-19, a lot of people have been taking sick time. Then add in an increase in demand because of the holidays and people just staying home and snacking more in general... and it's a recipe for another shortage.

Delish mentioned that production of Milano cookies is harder to keep up with because of their shape and texture.

Oh great. Hopefully you've got a hidden stash of Milano cookies at home otherwise you might be out of luck for awhile.

I'm happy to report that I was at Target in St. Cloud on Sunday and there were plenty of Milano cookies still on store shelves. FOR NOW. I didn't buy any of them because I'm busy with my own holiday baking right now.
