SAUK RAPIDS -- You can help raise money for United Cerebral Palsy of Central Minnesota on Friday night at their Oktoberfest event.

The fundraiser will be held at Molitor's Quarry Grill and Bar in Sauk Rapids and feature a hog roast, craft beer, a silent auction, and pig races.

"We wanted [the event] to be inclusive and casual," says Jenna Berger of United Cerebral Palsy of Central Minnesota. "We just want you to come and have a good time."

The proceeds from the night's event help people in the area with all disabilities -- not just cerebral palsy -- and Berger says their organization has helped over 4,500 people in the past year.

"It doesn't take that much to change the whole life of somebody, not in our line of business," Berger says. "Sometimes $200 can totally re-position [our clients] in our community -- allowing them to work, to access work, or get training that they need."

"It really is about creating an inclusive community and making sure everybody has opportunities."

Oktoberfest runs from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with tickets costing $40 in advance ($45 at the door).
