October Is ‘Adopt a Shelter Dog’ Month [Watch]

Adopting a shelter dog has been one of the best things I have ever done. My dog Norman came into my life via the Tri-County Humane Society. His previous owner had failing health and completely forgot that they had dogs to take care of, so my dog and his friend were brought into the shelter by a neighbor. I feel in love with the little guy right away and we have been inseparable ever since!

Shelter dogs are great. Mine has taught me so much more than I ever anticipated. He made me realize that life isn't always about what I want to do, I gotta worry about his needs as well. He also has taught me the importance of taking time at the end of the day for an evening walk, and that treats are important to have every now and then.
