Torii Hunter has avoided Father Time for 19-years, but in late September, Hunter felt the old man catching up.

Hunter, after addressing the Twins in late September, knew he couldn't continue to run out retirement much longer and once the off-season hit... Hunter knew it was time.

After 19-seasons in the Majors, the former first-round draft pick (1993) by the Minnesota Twins announced last night (Monday, October 26, 2015) announced his retirement and thanked his fans on Instagram.

In 2,372 career games, Hunter hit .277 with 353 homers and 1,391 RBIs for Minnesota, the Los Angeles Angels and the Detroit Tigers. Hunter played in one AL Championship Series with each team.

Enjoy retirement Torii!!
