On Wednesday (April 18), NBC announced that Tina Fey will be hosting the season finale of Saturday Night Live, with Nicki Minaj serving as the musical guest. The episode is set to air May 19.

The "Motorsport" rapper got fans excited when she dropped two new singles last week—"Barbie Tingz" and "Chun-Li"—proving that her fourth LP is looming. The emcee hasn't released music since 2014's The Pinkprint.

During a recent interview with Beats 1's Zane Lowe, Minaj confirmed that a "layered" album is on the way, along with a documentary that will eventually release via Apple. She mentioned that the project features music "I think women really need right now."

Though unfortunate inspiration, it's safe to say at least some of the songs on the new album were influenced by her breakup with Meek Mill, which she confirmed in January 2017, and which she said amounted to many tears.

"To be completely honest, I would say I've been...working on this album since December," she said, but clarified that "some songs were written a year and a half ago. And that's important to know."

Though she didn't intend to leak any new tracks before the official album drop, she changed her and released the two mentioned above. "I'm just putting out two songs for my babies, because they miss me and I miss them."

Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30pm. ET/8:30pm PT on NBC. Watch the video for "Chun-Li" below.
