Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America in Bloomington made a big announcement via their official Facebook page on May 28. They've officially removed their gate barriers, allowing guests to now come and go as they wish.

During the pandemic, they blocked off exit areas with large gate barriers and had one entrance point into the theme park. Once you were in the park, you couldn't leave as you pleased. If you left, you forfeited your ticket for the rest of the day.

It was nice that Nickelodeon Universe was open, but it was a little difficult to stay in the theme park all day without being able to go grab lunch at one of the restaurants in the mall. You basically needed to pack some snacks and drinks to make it through if you wanted to get the most out of your money.

But, now, you can come and go as you choose! According to their Facebook page, "Nickelodeon Universe is once again an ungated theme park. Guests can now enter + exit at any time during daily operating hours at all four main entrances - North, South, East + West. We hope to ride with you all soon!"

This is great news! According to the theme park, some rides are still closed, but they no longer have a capacity limit due to state guidelines changing. You can find a list of what's open on their website.
