There's new music playing on Mix 94.9 this week, and if you've seen The Greatest Showman it may sound familiar!

Pink's rendition of "A Million Dreams" has been added to on-air rotation on Mix 94.9.

"A Million Dreams" comes from movie-musical The Greatest Showman featuring an all-star cast including Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, Michelle Williams, Keala Settle and others. Released December 2017, it received average reviews from critics though the public loved it.

Following the movie's smashing success, Atlantic Records decided to capitalize further by recreating the musical numbers with big-name bands and artists, similar to what they'd done with The Hamilton Mixtape before.

Billboard shares a fantastic article on how that process and the artists came together, including P!nk's involvement with "A Million Dreams."

[Atlantic Record's West Coast president] knew he had to have P!nk involved after the singer took to social media to gush over the film, and she already knew “A Million Dreams” was the song she wanted to record. P!nk also knew she wanted her daughter to sing the reprise, which Weaver thought captured the essence of The Greatest Showman. “This movie has affected families in such a profound way that having ['A Million Dreams'] represented by way of a mother-daughter collaboration was a really special contribution and part of the process. It really became this special mother-daughter moment."

The Greatest Showman: Reimagined released October 2018 including covers from Panic! at the Disco, Kelly Clarkson, MAX, James Arthur, P!nk and more.

Listen for P!nk's "A Million Dreams" playing now on Mix 94.9!
