This past weekend I had to run to the mall to get something specific.  I was planning on a quick and and out and wanted to make sure to park near to where the store is located within the mall.  It was about noon on Sunday, and WOW!  Try and find a parking space... good grief, was it ever busy.  But I thought there's a chance that everyone drove themselves and it won't be that busy.

WRONG!

The mall was super busy!  You'd think that it was getting close to the holidays or something.  Walking into the mall, the first thing you might notice is that it's decked out for Christmas including Santa right in the middle of the main area near JCPenney's There was a line of people waiting to have their picture taken with Santa.  By the way, you can schedule an appointment if you like so you aren't stuck in the line that I saw this past weekend.

What is new

Over in the food court, you may have recently seen that there is a new food option.  Mr Potato opened up recently.  Along with a new clothing store, New Moon, which opened up in the former Knights Chamber location.

New Moon is a women's clothing boutique.

There does seem to be some movement on the other side of the food court as well with some other stores.  One of which looks to sell things mostly attached to Minnesota.  There isn't a sign up at this time, but merchandise is in the store.  So that would just be an educated guess based on what is there now.  Waiting for the sign to go up to make sure.

The good news is that the new owners of Crossroads Mall in St. Cloud are working at filling up the vacant spaces.  Some say that "the mall is dead".  Obviously that is not the case as new businesses are opening almost on a weekly basis.  Have you checked out Crunch Fitness yet?  That also opened up recently and is located on the outside of the mall next to DSW shoes.  Might as well get a workout in while you are at the mall!
