NBC Universal Skipping Theater Releases, Movies Go To On-Demand
With many Americans in quarantine, NBC Universal made a game changing decision to skip the theatrical release of some of their films and instead make them available for streaming on-demand immediately, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Some theaters around the country have been forced to limit the number tickets they sell during the COVID-19 outbreak and some have had to close down completely.
NBC Universal will be making their movies available for $19.99 to rent for a 48-hour period. They haven't released all of the movie titles that will be available, but The Hollywood Reported says Trolls World Tour is one of the films that'll be streamed.
