ABC Renews ‘Nashville’ for Third Season

Good news, 'Nashville' fans! ABC has announced that 'Nashville' has officially been renewed for a third season. 

The drama set in the world of country music stars Hayden Panettiere as a young rising country music star named Juliette Barnes, who often clashes with Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton), an aging and fading country legend.

The co-president of ABC Television, Ben Sherwood, congratulated the cast in a tweet last night.

According to E! Online, 'Nashville' has averaged about 5.3 million viewers each week, which is a modest amount for a network show, but does strong in the adults 18-49 demo with a 1.4 rating.

'Nashville' also co-stars Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Eric Close and Jonathan Jackson. The season two finale airs this week on May 14.
