Mystic Lake Amphitheatre Know Before You Go

So many concerts, so little time.  Unless you are someone with a lot of time on your hands AND unlimited income, you are going to have to pick and choose which concerts, festivals, or shows you are going to go to.

Also, just about every venue has some new-ish rules that concert goers need to know so that you don't get there, and find out that you need to return to your vehicle or hotel room to drop some stuff there before you will be admitted into the venue.

Since Mystic Lake Amphitheatre is a new venue, there might be some question about what is the policies that will be enforced this summer.

Oh, and one of the biggest things to know is that Mystic Lake Amphitheatre is NOT part of the casino.  It's 4 miles apart from eachother.  You could stay at the hotel at the casino, but they are not affiliated other than the naming rights for the amphitheater.  It's not the same as something like Treasure Island Amphitheatre in Welch, Minnesota, which is definitely part of that casino.

WILL THE SHOW BE CANCELLED BECAUSE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER

The shows will go on rain or shine, unless it's super bad as in an electrical storm or tornado or high winds.  So if it's just rain, put a poncho on and enjoy the show.  If you have a question as to if a show will continue or not, just continue to check social media outlets.

WHEN WILL THE DOORS OPEN BEFORE A SHOW AT MYSTIC LAKE AMPHITHEATER

You will be fine if you want to get there early and take in the new venue.  The doors will usually open an hour or two before the show.  But in some circumstances that could change.  So keep an eye on the event page at mysticlakeamp.com

ARE PEOPLE GOING BE ALLOWED TO BRING A PURSE OR A BAG INTO THE VENUE

Short answer to this one is no.  But, of course, there are some exceptions.  They will allow clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and/or small wristlet-style clutch bags (6”x 9”).  You cannot bring in any crossbody or fanny packs if they are not clear.  They will allow medical bags, but will most likey be subject to a search.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM ANY PARKING LOT POLICY

If you are planning to park at the venue, they will usually open about an hour before any show.  Also - no tailgating will be allowed.

Everybody and everything is subject to a search, possibly a pat down and also metal detectors.  Kind of the usual when you go to any concert, show or anything in a large venue.  It's just the drill that we are all used to by now.

ANOTHER CASHLESS VENUE - BUT THERE IS A SOLUTION FOR CASH USERS

They only take debit or credit cards.  But if you are a person who either forgot this, or you prefer to only use cash, they will exchange your cash for a card...for FREE! So that's a bonus.
