Remember MySpace? That social media platform that was popular for a hot second before everyone got on Facebook?

Yeah, MySpace just admitted they lost all audio, photos and videos uploaded between 2003-2015, Boing Boing reports.

As a result of a server migration project, any photos, videos, and audio files you uploaded more than three years ago may no longer be available on or from Myspace. We apologize for the inconvenience and suggest that you retain your back up copies. If you would like more information, please contact our Data Protection Officer, Dr. Jana Jentzsch at DPO@myspace.com.

According to Boing Boing, it's been a year since the music links stopped playing on MySpace (I wouldn't know...I never had an account). At the time, they claimed they were working on restoring them. They've since admitted that they lost all their files and apparently don't have a backup.

Some are beginning to speculate that it wasn't an accident but an intentional effort to avoid dealing with all the content.

If you had a MySpace account, you may want to log back in to see if yours was affected...and then do yourself a favor and delete it for good!
