My NCAA Bracket Strategy Is Pretty Simple
I don't know a lot about basketball but I still manage to do fairly well on my bracket every year. I've got a couple strategies that I follow every year. I thought I'd share them with you in hopes that it'll help you with your bracket. ;)
1. Don't pay too much attention to the seed ranking. I mean, obviously I wouldn't pick a 16 seed to beat a 1 seed...but, if a 4 seed is playing a 12 seed I might pick an upset.
2. I like to evaluate team colors. So, if I prefer red to blue then I'll select the red team to win. It's a pretty good strategy. I feel like certain colors just have that intimidation factor that'll give them a competitive edge over the other team.
3. I also take mascots into account. If one team's mascot looks or sounds more fierce, I'll pick them to win. Again, it's all about the intimidation factor. A dolphin is certainly less fierce than a lion...there's no contest.
4. If I'm really stuck, I'll flip a coin. I typically do this when it comes to deciding my final four. My final four teams are usually pretty comparable in fierceness, so I need a tie breaker!
I hope this helps you with your bracket! Good luck!
