Which soap operas are being buried in an avalanche, who went home on American Idol, new movies and who is our Secret Celebrity?

ABC announced today that two daytime soaps are being canceled. All My Children and One Life to Live will both be pulled from the line up in favor of cheaper talk shows that are aimed at younger audiences. A food show called The Chew hosted by Chef Mario Batali will take the place of All My Children and a healthy living show called The Revolution will go on in One Life to Live's spot. It will be hosted by Project Runway's Tim Gunn. You know, Peter and I were talking about this and we figured that ABC may be canceling these soaps, but you know that they will all come back in six months as their own evil twins.

The American Idol viewers sent Paul McDonald home last night.

Do you think the right contestant went home? Is this a shocking elimination? There are also rumors that Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams are...ahem...working on their song choices together in private.  Make sure you tune in next week to see if YOU notice the vibe between those two.

The new movies hitting the Parkwood 18 this weekend include Scream 4 (R). The old cast is back as Sidney returns home when the ghost face killings start. Director Wes Craven says this film is a parody of the Saw franchise.

Rio (G) This animated movie stars Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg as the last two birds of their species which makes them a target for birdnappers. Jamie Foxx, Will.I.Am and George Lopez also star.
