If you are trying to plan a trip to Europe, one of the biggest concerns that people say they have is lost luggage.  A lot of airlines have not had a great track record when it comes to making sure traveler's baggage ends up at the same place they do while traveling.  Generally it will show up within a few hours, but it's still very inconvenient.

If you are planning a trip, lost luggage is the last thing you want to have to worry about; with a direct flight, the chance of that happening is a lot less.

Recently we learned that Delta had added direct flights to Rome from MSP/ST airport.  And now they are adding another direct flight to Copenhagen out of Minneapolis International airport too.

According to KARE 11, this new route will begin in May of next year.

“This route creates an invaluable connection between two major SkyTeam partner hubs, providing unrivaled connectivity and travel options for customers traveling between Scandinavia and North America,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President – Network Planning in a news release.

The direct flights with Delta to Rome will begin in the Spring of next year, an exact date has not been mentioned.  It's vey convenient for people who don't want the hassle of help with peace of mind.  Also, people who are able to sleep on a flight, the direct flights give you more time with not having to wake up to switch flights.  Hopefully you can be rested when you do land at your desired destination.

If you are interested in more flights to Europe through Delta, you can check out their website for more information.

The prediction is that this summer, the summer of 2025, will be one of the busiest for trans-atlantic travel through Delta because of these added direct flights.
