How Minnesota Residents Can Shape Future Transportation Plans

Let’s face it, we all go through the motions of life abiding by rules and guidelines that we had very little input about. We can contact our elected officials, and honestly sometimes that is harder than it should be. But normally, there aren’t many opportunities for us to help craft the rules we abide by.

They Want You To Share Your Thoughts

Here’s a chance for you to let your voice be heard. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is asking Minnesota residents to take a survey that will take five to seven minutes to complete.

Minnesota GO is the long-range vision plan for not only how we use transportation to get around the state, but also for the important aspect of moving products around Minnesota as well.

The plan that is in place right now was implemented in 2011, and the long-range vision is one that looks ahead to the next fifty years for our state. So that means that suggestions made now won’t likely become a reality for years to come. But the ideas you share could have a definite impact on your kids and grandkids.

For some Minnesota residents who drive a lot, they have experienced situations where they have an idea how to make things better. This is their opportunity to let someone else know about how things could be improved for everyone.

There are likely plenty of areas around the state that are dangerous just because of the landscape around them, helping bring attention to those situations and offering a safer option is important and an opportunity that shouldn’t be overlooked.
