Another festival has been announced for this coming summer. Like I've said before, we Minnesotans try to pack as much as we possilby can into the 3-4 months of summer.  And this coming Summer is going to be no different.  All we can hope for now is great weather.

A few years ago Summer Jam was announced as a new festival in Minnesota that would include several different genres of music.  It was a hit.  You'd have country, rock and pop all in the same night.  Each headliner of the multi-day festival would be one of a different genre than the other.  Eclectic would be a great way to describe this festival.  The venue was Canterbury Park (Downs).

Canterbury has been renovating their venue to include an amphitheatre.  Sounds great, right?  Yes... but...

Summer Jam, put on now by the same people who put on Country Jam, will happen this summer and in a new location.  The festival is moving across the border into Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and has been reimagined as a new festival.  Previously called Twin Cities Summer Jam.  This is now a completely different festival.

Check out the lineup. And organizers say "It's not a genre, it's a vibe".

From Bring Me the News:

The festival unveiled the remaining performers for the expansive rock and pop festival, which takes place June 20-21. It'll include The Black Crowes, Wang Chung, Collective Soul, Live, Gavin DeGraw, and MKTO.

They're hopping on board the inaugural run with the previously announced performers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Everclear, Marshall Tucker Band, and Rick Springfield.
