On October 16, Disney released a new film to their streaming service that's got Minnesotans going crazy.

The film is called 'Clouds' and features the story of Minnesota native Zach Sobiech who passed away from a rare bone cancer in 2013.

Zach's story is an inspirational and familiar one for Minnesotans who watched him rise to fame through his music in the last months of his life.

He decided to record songs and make a record with his friend Sammy Brown with their group A Firm Handshake. Their music gets in the hands of some high up record executives through the help of their teacher in Stillwater. They ultimately land a recording contract and gain international fame through YouTube.

The Disney film is based off the memoir Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom's Small Prayer in a Big Way by Laura Sobiech, aka Zach's mom.

You'll see so many Minnesota shout outs because the entire movie follow's the last few months of Zach's battle with cancer in Minnesota.

I watched the film last night with my sister and the two of us shared a Kleenex box. I was midway through college when I heard about Zach's story. I remember listening to his song 'Clouds' religiously. It was heartbreaking when he passed away. My sister, who is 15 years younger than me, wasn't familiar with his story...until we watched the movie.

We bawled our eyes out last night. I'd give this movie a 10 out of 10. Be warned, you will need a box of Kleenex and make sure you aren't running heavy on the mascara before you watch it.

"Don’t wait until you find out you’re dying to start living,” Zach Sobiech
