For the fifth straight year, Mayo Clinic in Rochester has been named the best hospital in America by U.S. News & World Report.

Earlier in 2020, Newsweek magazine not only called Mayo Clinic in Rochester the best hospital in the country, but the best hospital in the world.

In the survey, U.S. News & World reports looks into 5,000 medical facilities, and compiles responses from more than 30,000 doctors.

In addition to taking the overall number-one spot, Mayo Clinic in Rochester also ranked #1 for Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Gynecology, Nephrology, Pulmonology & Lung Surgery, and Urology.

Since being diagnosed with cancer for the first time in 2002, I've had seven surgeries -- with the last three at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Mayo also excelled in other areas, coming at #3 for Cancer, #2 for cardiology & heart surgery, #3 for ear, nose, and throat, #3 for rheumatology, and #2 for orthopedics. Keep in mind, that's out of 5,000 U.S. hospitals.

In a state known for it's cutting-edge medical care, kudos to our St. Cloud Hospital for coming in as the third-best hospital in Minnesota, behind only Mayo and Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis.
