Minnesota Zoo Announces Reopening Date
As businesses start reopening in Minnesota, the Minnesota Zoo announced their reopening date online.
As of Thursday, January 14, the zoo will be open to the public again. But, there will be some new rules to follow as the zoo tries to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Guests are asked to stay home if they're sick with anything, have COVID-19 symptoms or a confirmed diagnosis, or if they've been exposed to someone with COVID symptoms in the last 14 days.

Tickets need to be purchased ahead of time online, they won't be available on-site. When you get to the zoo, you'll check-in through the Lower South entry.
When you buy your tickets online you'll select your start time. Tickets will only be valid for 2.5 hours from your start time. It's the zoo's way of accommodating people on a reduced capacity.
You should know that some exhibits will have extra protective barriers and some could be temporarily closed to the public. Interactive experiences have been temporarily removed or closed completely. The indoor and outdoor play areas are also closed.
Attendees will have limited access in the gift shop. The Call of the Wild food court will be open but with a limited menu.
Admission is free for zoo members. If you're a non-member, tickets are $19.95 for adults, $13.95 for seniors and kids ages 3 to 12. Children 2 and under are free.
You can find more details on the Zoo's website.
