Let’s face it, even some of the best made plans develop cracks in the foundation. It’s likely the plans become less feasible because life changes, or maybe the speed of technology renders the original plan less effective, but either way, the time ultimately comes to reevaluate what you’ve been doing.

That’s the position that the Minnesota Department of Transportation finds itself in and they’re seeking your input.

Here's Your Chance To Let Your Voice Be Heard

For many people, public transportation is something they use, at least part of the time. The Department of Transportation is asking for your input on what you’ve noticed that could be improved on when it comes to the transportation options that are provided by the state.

The Greater Minnesota Transit Plan is a study option by MnDOT to allow them to hear from the public and others on how everything has been working and what areas need to be addressed.

Through this process, MnDOT will be updating the transit policies that are used day to day. Another important area of this work is hearing from the public on the aspect of mobility and accessibility for the users who have challenges in getting around. In addition to the updates, establishing goals and the strategies to accomplish those goals will also be determined.

Another mission of this study is to have clear guidelines for the urban areas around the state as well as the more rural sections, because there will likely be stark differences on how things are done between the two areas.

How Do You Help?

MnDOT wants you to sign up for email updates from them, so you don’t miss anything that is going on with these topics.  Plus, they want you to share your experiences and your thoughts on how things could be improved by taking the survey.

You may not be a state employee, but here is a real chance to help improve public transportation for many residents around Minnesota.
