St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Minnesota tax collections last month were the modestly higher than expected.

A monthly report from the Minnesota Office of Management and Budget shows net general fund revenues for the month of February totaled just over $1.38 billion. That is $25 million or 1.9% above the level predicted by the most recent state revenue forecast.

Individual income tax payments were about $26 million lower than predicted while state revenues from sales tax receipts and corporate tax payments were both about $15 million above the projection. State revenues from fees and other miscellaneous sources came in $21 million above the forecast.

Since the start of the fiscal year last July, the State of Minnesota has brought in just over $18.47 billion in revenue.
