Minnesota Included in Best States to Have a Baby

A recent study ranked the best states to have a baby. Researchers examined things like the number of pediatricians per capita, how much maternity leave women receive, and how much it costs to give birth at a hospital.

The the top ten include: Vermont, North Dakota, Oregon, Hawaii, Minnesota, Kentucky, Maine, Wyoming, Iowa, and Alaska. It now costs an average of $10,002 to have a baby at a hospital. The cheapest state to give birth in is North Dakota, and the most expensive is New Mexico.
