AVON -- A Minnetonka man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and pointing a gun at another man outside a Stearns County bar Saturday night.

The incident happened at about 9:45 p.m. at Lion's Den bar in Avon.

According to the criminal complaint 39-year-old Corey Heinen was groping a woman in the groin and breast area over her clothing without consent, while inside the bar.

The woman asked someone for help, at which time another man intervened. Heinen then grabbed a beer bottle and hit the man in the head, before slapping the women in the face.

A second man came to help and removed Heinen from the bar. Once outside Heinen grabbed a gun and pointed it at the man's face. The man was able to disarm Heinen, who then left the bar.

Police later found Heinen at his parents house and was arrested. When told he was being charged with second-degree assault, Heinen asked whether the weapon involved was a beer bottle or a gun.

He told police he owned the gun, which was found outside the bar.

Heinen was taken to the Stearn County Jail where he awaits formal charges of second degree assault, fifth degree criminal sexual conduct and fifth degree assault.
