Look Out For Central MN Kids With Blue Halloween Buckets
Halloween is tomorrow and soon kids will be flooding the streets looking for treats. Many children will be sporting orange pumpkin buckets, and some will have a blue pumpkin or bucket.
If you see a child with a blue Halloween bucket, it means they have autism. The blue buckets are meant to create awareness and acceptance throughout the community.
Often times, people wait for children to say 'trick or treat' before they give them candy. Some children with autism are non-verbal or can't say 'trick or treat'. The blue bucket is the community's cue to recognize that situation and help create a positive and fun experience for that child.
