ROSEVILLE - We finally know who held that $1 million Powerball ticket that we first told you about a few weeks ago!

Joseph Yanish, a professional farrier in Litchfield, bought the ticket from the Casey's General Store at 6515 County Road 136 on May 14th. In a news release from the Minnesota State Lottery, Yanish says the ticket was an "impulse purchase".

"I just had an extra couple of bucks and decided to buy two tickets at the last minute."

Yanish says that he found out about his winning ticket from the original story posted on the WJON Facebook Page (read the original post here).

"An old classmate of mine had posted your link on the Powerball ticket on Facebook and I got excited. I went downstairs and I grabbed the ticket out of my wallet and started checking it and the numbers started lining up."

Joseph and his wife Erin plan to pay off their debts, saying that they just paid off their mortgage on Thursday. They also plan to use some money to do some traveling, including a trip to Walt Disney World next year.

Yanish and his wife and family arrived at the lottery headquarters on June 2nd to claim the prize. Yanish's winning ticket matched the first five winning numbers drawn on the 14th. The winning numbers were 13-27-47-64-65 and the Powerball was 9.

Yanish is the third Minnesotan to win a $1 million Powerball prize so far this year.
