The drive-in posted an updated to their Facebook page saying they've been working with the representatives to get the process started to reopen the theater.

They say they haven't heard back from the governor but the stay at home order is set to expire on May 4, and they're hoping to be up and operating on May 8th.

There will need to be some strict guidelines in place before they'll be able to safely open for the season. They'll be limiting the number of vehicles allowed and requiring people to stayin their cars during the movie.

Lines at the snack bar will also have limits and people will be required to practice 6 feet of social distancing.

For those of you concerned about their plan for the bathroom, that too will have a limit as well as strict disinfecting procedures.

As far as what movies will be showing on opening night, nothing has been announced. In a former post on the drive-in's Facebook page, they mentioned it may be hard to show new movies because production has been slow in Hollywood. The theater may be doing retro themed weekends.

Starlite Drive-In posted, "The health and safety of our customers and staff is our number one priority and we look forward to seeing you all very soon."
