July Brings Live Music Back with Lakefront Music Fest- Prior Lake
I think we have all been missing live music this past year. We have seen the virtual concerts, the Zoom shows, the occasional socially distant acoustic shows, the concerts on movie screens where you watch from your car or in a little pod all to yourself. I think we are all done with that type of a show.
Let's welcome back some live, full band shows! Just annouced is the Lakefront Music Festival in Prior Lake.
This weekend show includes a couple different genres of music. Friday night is more of a rock show while Saturday will be more of a country feel.
According to a press release the organizers said they are very excited to be the first group to bring back live music this year with the restrictions lifted.
"It’s clear that our fans are ready to get back to outdoor music events, especially after the disappointment of having to postpone our event”, said event Tri-Chair Michelle Jirik. “We are so excited to be the first major music fest taking place in the Twin Cities area after COVID-19 and cannot wait to welcome people back to live concerts.”
Friday night will have Styx and Cheap Trick will headline with .38 Special opening. Saturday with have country group Lady A headlining with Jake Owen and Noah Guthrie opening. Tickets are on sale now with general admission ticket for both nights $75, or $50 for each night through June 30th or until the tickets are sold out. Single night tickets will go up to $60 if not sold out by the 30th of June.
