Sartell Rolls Into the Future With New Robotic Mower
SARTELL (WJON News) -- The City of Sartell could soon have a new way to mow lawns. The city council will vote to approve the purchase of a Kress Mission 4.5-acre robotic mower at Monday's meeting.
The public works department was able to demo the mower during the month of August. After the equipment was thoroughly tested and examined, public works determined the robotic mower meets the department's needs in terms of durability, capability, and ease of use.

Public Works cites the benefits of reduced noise, reduced reliance on fossil fuels, and the use of the robotic mower eliminates limitations for traditional lawn care methods. The cost of the robotic mower is about $8.500 and the money will come from leftover funds from completed 2024 projects.
