Sartell Council To Vote On Champion Plat 2nd Addition Agreement
SARTELL (WJON News) -- The City of Sartell is set to take the next step in the Niron Magnetics purchase agreement. The city council will vote to approve the Champion Plat 2nd addition agreement as part of the consent agenda at Monday's council meeting. In 2023, the city completed the preliminary and final platting for the Champion Plat along 4th Avenue South with a large portion of the land designated as an outlot to allow flexibility in selling sections for future development.
Sartell entered into a purchase agreement with Niron Magnetics for a portion of the Champion Plat last month and to facilitate the sale the current outlot needs to be replatted into small individual lots. Additionally, several residents along 10th Avenue South have entered a purchase agreement to acquire 50 additional feet of land behind their lots to solve the encroachment issue onto city property when the survey was completed.
The council will vote on the sale of the additional 50 feet to residents as well as part of the consent agenda. To accommodate the sale of the property a Final Plat needs to be completed and additional plats will need to be done as the property continues to be sold.
