UNDATED (WJON News) -- A number of area historical societies and history museums are working with the College of St. Benedict, St. John's University, and the American Indian Center at SCSU to launch a new series that looks at Native American culture in central Minnesota.

"Exploring History and Culture in Central Minnesota" will have events throughout February.

On Saturday, February, 2nd the first event entitled Cultural Competence Through Park Land Development will be at the Sherburne History Center in Becker.

Other programs will be held at the Stearns History Museum in St. Cloud on Saturday, February 8th, and at the Benton County Historical Society in Sauk Rapids on February 15th.

All programs will start at 10:30 a.m.
