
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central MN Name 2025 Youth of the Year
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- An Eastside Boys & Girls Club member is the 2025 Youth of the Year award winner.
Lavender Jackson was among three finalists for the award.
Participants must be at least 14 years old, be a member of a club for at least two years, and be willing to share how the Boys & Girls Club impacted their lives.
Jackson is a member of the Eastside Club's Keystone Teen Service and Leadership Club, serves as a mentor for younger members, and is passionate about art, theatre, and writing.
Members of the community are invited to a reception Thursday to honor Jackson as the 2025 Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota Youth of the Year. The reception will take place at the Eastside Boys & Girls Club location. The reception starts at 4:15 p.m. and includes a brief presentation followed by Jackson's testimony on how the club has impacted her life.
Jackson will now go on to compete at the state level on March 19th.
