Annoying Habits Passengers Do On Airplanes – Are You Guilty?

Most people have flown a time or two.  There are some things that passengers do on planes that really annoy other passengers or even the flight crew.  Hopefully you are not guilty of these things.  One of them is supposedly the most annoying.  I personally think that is subjective, since everyone has their own things that annoy them about other people.  But there is one behavior that annoys MOST people on a flight.

There are so many things that people can get upset about when flying somewhere.  And it may differ depending on how long the certain flight is.

Bare feet.

This one is referring to someone who takes off their shoes and socks when flying.  Depending on the length of the flight, why do you need to do that?  Personally, I find this one gross.  But this is NOT the most annoying habit.  But it's up there.

Aisle Surging.

This is when the plane lands and people stand up right away before the doors even open.  Apparently this annoys a lot of people.  I'm not sure why unless it affects someone else somehow.  Sometimes on a long flight you might need to just stand up to stretch or move because you have been seated for so long.  Everyone is different.  However, do not budge in line.  Wait until your row has it's turn to exit the aircraft.

Impatient Boarding.

This is when people try and board the aircraft ahead of their assigned zone.  Generally when you try to get on the plane, your boarding pass will show it isn't your turn and the crew will send you back to wait for your correct boarding time.

Smelly Food.

We all understand that flights will many times only have a light snack and/or beverage on certain flights.  AND sometimes there isn't anything at all depending on the length of the flight. Some people will get something from the airport and bring it onto the flight.  That's fine - but try and limit that to a sandwich of chips or something.  No hot, smelly meals.  Especially not fish or something wth buffalo sauce.  Be considerate of the other passengers.

Loud talking.

Speaking of other passengers - do not use your speaker phone to have a conversation.  Not everyone else is interested in your conversation. Text is always better anyway.  And speaking of talking - it's fine to say hi to your seatmate, but don't try and have long conversations with other passengers that you don't know. Most people don't like that.

And finally, we have the thing that bothers people the most!  It's arm rest hogging.

Be considerate again - and don't hog the armrest.  Unless you are the middle passenger.  You get both of them.  The people on the ends have another, you are already drawing the short straw by getting the middle seat.  There should be at least one perk

If you are flying somewhere - have a safe flight and bottom line is just to be considerate of others when flying.  It's not a private jet.
