A new cannabis dispensary is set to open tomorrow, February 27th, in St. Michael. The dispensary will be one of the first non-native American dispensaries to open in the state. Here's what we know about the opening.

A Social Equity Microbusiness

The new dispensary set to open in Saint Michael, The Cannabis Co.,  is listed online as being a social equity microbusiness. So what does that mean? According to Minnesota's Office of Cannabis Management, the applicant must meet at least one of the seven criteria laid out, such as being a military veteran or member of the National Guard, or having a cannabis-related offense, or being the child of someone with a cannabis related offense before May 2023.

Grand Opening Friday, February 27th

The grand opening will take place on Friday, February 27th, starting at 10am with a ribbon-cutting event, followed by the first 250 people inside the store receiving a gift bag and special discounts throughout the day.

There will also be a food option for those who stop by, as a Minnesota State Fair staple, Pronto Pups, will be there too, according to an emailed release.

Location & Product Information

The Cannabis Co. will be located at 12246 42nd St NE, in Saint Michael. You can also learn more about what the dispensary will have going on through social media.
